Mental Health Awareness

Bell Let’s Talk Day is January 31, 2018.

On Bell Let’s Talk Day, Bell will donate more towards mental health initiatives in Canada, by contributing 5¢ for every applicable text, call, tweet, social media video view and use of their Facebook frame or Snapchat filter.

One in five Canadians will suffer from mental illness at some point in their lifetime. One of the biggest hurdles for anyone suffering from mental illness is overcoming the stigma. It is the number one reason why two-thirds of those living with a mental illness do not seek help.

Check out these  5 ways you can help overcome stigma:  words matter, educate yourself, be kind, listen and ask, talk about it.

Mental health is also the leading cause of workplace disability in Canada and represents 15% of Canada’s burden of disease. To find out more about the services and resources available to all Saskatchewan Health Authority employees and their eligible dependents, contact your Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP).

Mental Health affects us all.
