Saskatoon Health Region’s 2016 United Way campaign is underway!

Behind every changed life is someone who makes it happen.

In Saskatoon, 1 in 11 people live in poverty. For these individuals and families, every day is a battle with hunger, stress and worry. Imagine having to choose between fresh food and cheaper, less nutritious alternatives. Or needing to decide what bills you can pay on time. These are the kinds of tough choices many families face each and every day. Those struggling to meet life’s basic needs could be your neighbor, your best friend, your co-worker, or members of your family.

It could be you.

The United Way of Saskatoon and area believes that our community is strongest when everyone is able to reach their full potential. Individuals and families in our community face not only health challenges, but social challenges as well. Social issues are complex and cannot be solved by one person or organization. That is why United Way collaborates with businesses, agencies, labour, and individuals because they know it takes a whole community working together to create change.

United Way of Saskatoon and Area focuses their time and investments on three specific areas of work:

  • Moving people from poverty to possibility
  • Creating healthy people and strong communities
  • Helping kids be all that they can be

Together we can make a difference.
